Just a little something I threw together to help out all the new, proud owners of Groups.
I've been helping with with #dAmnU since the alpha days a few months ago, and help run #MasterPhotoshop along with a few other groups. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask. 
This Guide only covers the Members Managment Screen. I'll probably go over more aspects of Group Managment later. I'd do this as a vid, but my computer has been extreamaly laggy lately.

I accidentally made myself a Contributor on a semi-inactive older group even though Co-Founder was an option...
ARGH!
(i should also add that the founder himself deactivated years ago so i think i'm screwed...?
i just wanted to breathe new life into an old group
I don't know where he went either. He just went poof. He also had submitted a journal saying that he was looking for a new Founder but I guess nobody stepped up in time...)

i have a question and idk if it's something with deviantart itself but i'm sure it is, i just want to be sure.
i had found out that there were a problem with my folders and i went to adjust the settings for members to allow them to submit into the folders but when i when i went in to change 'em, there was nothing over to the side were you select the different "ranks" as i call them.
is there anything that i can do to fix this?
i've tried refreshing the page and i've tried leaving the page and coming back to it
if not
is there any other way i can go in to fix the members settings?

Hell if I fucking know. I haven't even been to a group in like 3years let alone fucked around with the back room settings. Soooo good luck with that.

I have a question. I'm a co-founder of a group and people are having trouble trying to ask to join as a member. When they try to ask to join, it says they can only request to join as a co-founder. I'm still new to being a co-founder of a group and don't know how to fix this yet. Am I able to change the options at all, or can only the founder do that?

Wait, I have a question b/c I'm confused.
I want a group admin/contributor to keep up w/the gallery and faves section.
So, what setting should I put it on to make that happen?
B/c I"m still confused w/the levels such as :Can Edit Some Content, Can Add/Delete/Edit content, etc.
Or is it only really for Co-founders and Founders?

Can Edit Some Content just means they can move deviations around
Can Add/Delete/Edit some content means they can add folders, delete folders, remove deviations and move deviationis
Full Control means they get to control everything.

That's what's weird b/c no matter what setting I have it on, the pencil icon doesn't come up so my gallery mod can change something.

My members can suggest to favs. But I can't reply to them from there when I deny something ( I want to explain why) . How can I enable replying ?

It's really hard for me without comments there. I want to explain the denial, and I have to go over to notes, to add th thumb I'm talking about ... it takes a lot longer

Under Member Permissons settings, set Join Requests to Auto or Vote approved.
