Description Michelle is my former lover and great friend, who has recently left country for good to return to her native lands.
I painted this for her as a gift and a thank you for sticking by me and being a very helpful human, even after we broke up.
She was with me when I met Karen, and she's been a big part of my life.

Miss you Michelle

Thank you, and as allways the answer is with a great deal of patience.
Actaully I took a full series of in progress photos of this one if you wanna have a look?
Thinking about uploading them all to scrapes if there is a demand for it.

fantastic man..
this is frightening how close this is to what i have ahd knocking around in my head here for several weeks... not completely the same, but close enough to make me smile and feel like there is a brotherhood of comon thought... or something like that... i have a boat load of projects to get done before then so it will be a few weeks before i can really seriously get into it.... that is good though, because if in a few weeks i still feel good about it, it just may be a good idea after all.

great work, this new direction is really coming along... a trully wonderful sense of light in this one. i think you managed to capture the closeness that you feel for Michelle.

awesome...

Tis good...I'm keen to see you take on the idea when its done
I'm snowed under with crap to do also, including a complicated comission I'm not that into before I can start my next one, which is frustrating as I have some golden references sitting around waiting for me at present.

I actaully took a whole bunch of in progress shots of this work which I'm thinking about uploading to scraps if peoples want to have a look...can't for the next 2 days due to have to go do shows, but yeah I do have them for once

Anytime, I do like getting your feedback

I think it did work in the end, I've had it in the market place as sold, and seem to be generating a lot of interest for comissions and what not, so its doing good work.

draunaturel In reply to Jumprabbit [2006-02-19 23:49:56 +0000 UTC]

that is really cool... you should be getting lots of work from that...

what sort of market place do you have it displayed in?

Jumprabbit In reply to draunaturel [2006-02-20 01:04:37 +0000 UTC]

Theres a major art and craft market here every Sat, which has about 10 000 punter turn up, so its not to bad. No gallery to give 40% to either

draunaturel In reply to Jumprabbit [2006-02-20 03:12:23 +0000 UTC]

that sounds really great... what do you do jsut pay a fee for the space then?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jumprabbit In reply to draunaturel [2006-02-20 07:25:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, which is $50 a week, but it is worth it as long as you keep selling things

ahhhh, i see.. that is pretty early on a saturday morning... oh well, just one of the things we do for our art... do you have smaller pieces or prints or some such that you also sell, or do you just go there hoping for the big sales?

Jumprabbit In reply to draunaturel [2006-02-23 00:47:54 +0000 UTC]

Just hang out for the big ones atm, all or nothing....bu I am planning on adding prints to the line up soon

draunaturel In reply to Jumprabbit [2006-02-23 12:35:56 +0000 UTC]

that a way man.. all or nothing.... but i think the idea of prints maybe a good way to keep paying the fee every time you go the market place...
