I was hoping to actually finish this up before Toho revealed their design for the Monster Planet Godzilla as a sort of "here's my idea of he might look like", but they beat me to it because I had other things going on, so I'll just put it up anyway
In the end I like the one they went with just fine, it mimics the Legendary design while mine is more of a Millennium suit with some classic flavoring thrown in. Maybe I'll resurrect this one for a comic someday, who knows?

I appreciate that. I don't mind the design they went with at all but part of me would have liked to see them try something a bit more radical but still holding to some traditional Toho inspired elements.

I can see this in a film quite easily. Very nice blend of millenium and Heisei.
