Description First off, I really have to apologize for the quality of this post: it is taken from an old photo print: actually two taped together.  I did the painting in the late 80's and never did get a good photo of it before I sold it and moved.  I have no idea where it is now.  I will eventually move this to Scraps.  The only reason that I am posting this is to offer you some background for other paintings: The Lady and Once Upon A Time In The Future.  This painting depicts the same character in a possible future. Called simply The Lady, she is kind of a cross between Galadriel and the Dali Lama.  Here we see an elder, soon to retire Lady leading her chosen replacement through the ruins of some modern city to her new place in the scheme of things.  She will be responsible for inspiring humankind's efforts to restore the Earth after a series of climactic disasters and subsequent wars.

The painting is 48" X 96"  Oil on Canvas

I did that one in Denver...when I moved to Santa Fe, it made the trip under a tarp in the back of a little pick up.  Then Mehera decided to buy it and it had to make the return trip...oddly enough, it survived the experience!

It is an amazing painting, I am glad it did survive!  It would be a shame to lose such a beautiful work of art.

Why did you sold such amazing masterpiece? This is a painting for kings! It should be in a museum for next generations to know today an artist named Keith did works as beautiful as Old Masters did! You should lunch an internet campaign to find it! ^^ If you move this to scraps, I´ll spam you until you will move it back to where it is now! Let it be! As it is the photographed, the painting still is a masterpiece! And super wonderfully done. I don´t even have the words to describe it as it deserves!

I think that the lady who bought the painting still lives in Denver, Colorado.  I will see if I can turn up an Email address or phone number.  Might be worth a 12 hour drive to get some good photos of the painting!

Sigh.  I tend to revert to my medieval inner child whenever I pick up a paint brush.

Yeah...it was a big painting.  I was friends with the lady who lived one floor below me....so I put her cats in too.

She thought so...as I recall (it was a long time ago) she really liked having her cats be stars in a painting.

you're a definitely interesting man -

creating an image where the future is lead by female wisdom entrusted in female youthfulness

and your attention to detail is wondrous - I could wander through your imagination for hours

Thank you!...my favorite memory of this painting is when I left it on the easel in my apartment and returned late at night to discover that I had left the window open and now a line of sleepy sparrows had roosted on it for the night.
