WARNING: LARGE file ahead!!!I was simply blown away by how many people were interested in seeing a tutorial on how I draw the curls for my characters' hair.
So I figured, with all the response, I'd try and make a tutorial. It DID end up taking a long time to make, so I obviously won't be making alot of tutorials in future. X3 Still, I hope this gives some people an idea about how I do them - and ways that you can practice and learn with until you develop your own style.
As for the picture, it will eventually be another one of my berry princess'. This one for 'Blackberries'.

oh yay!!! I really needed that! When I want to draw a girl with curly hair she ends up with wavy hair >_<,and i have curly hair too so when I draw myself coz I bored I can't do it right

Def an instant fave. this is similar to how I learned way back in hs, but much better put. Your characters, hair and all are beautiful, you have a lot of talent for this. I do have one note, more of a termanology suggestion. I would call this in particular a ringlet, more than a curl. Curl is more of a broad term perhaps, wavy hair, flips, body waves is what I expected to see. So, there might be some confusion. But, this is your right to term it as you will, and as you mentioned this is more for fun and from request then anything else. I find this extemely useful, this is something i've been aching to learn how to do better and look professional as your work does. Best to you! Wonderful job!

Yeah, I got through the tutorial and figured they're more ringlet-like than curl. It's just hard to word, unfortunatly - but since alot of people had refered to them in my artwork as 'curls', I figured I'd stick with it. ^^

You know, I had always wondered how people drew those sharp, sharp curls (all of mine are soft, wavy, or organic). So this was immensely interesting! Very cool.
