Think I need the top of my skull opened so I can scratch my brain. *Scratches head anyway.* I love how you able to make the layers with the acrylic. I suck with anything that isn't water color. I still say you have to be one of the most amazing artists out there.
-Face plants from all that is said.-
Anywho. <---

I have a question. Is it better to paint the first layer and then add the shading or wait until it dries?

It's worthy to wait if you don't want the two colours getting mixed up, paint shades onto undried layer if you want blending the edges of the shadows and lighted parts, acrylics drying fast, so it won't take much waiting.

Great art! but the self-deprocating comments were really distracting. Be confident! You're good!

It looks nice for first try I have a suggestion to fix the edges of the paper all around with waterproof tape before painting, and your picture won't get wavy after drying

That was great. It kinda puts things into perspective when you see how something so wonderful starts. Maybe I shouldn't keep throwing away my rough sketches so quickly ^_^
Although your stuff makes me look at my own finished stuff and go, God dammit this sucks!
haha!
^_^

Hehe looking at rough sketches is always funny, whenever you start working on a piece, it's hard to imagine it can ever become an artwork That's true, better not to throw away sketches, especially when they're getting through drastic changes. I have one that started as a stealth-killing move, and after some re-posing and re-designing it ended up as a victorious warrior image

Damn that's awesome! I really need more of your tutorials there!
I do the sketches the same, but it seems that I can't choose the right combination of the colors for clouds (there are some purple clouds in the game, made me so frustrated while I tried to make them!)
What brushes do you use? Are they ordinary mortal ones (bought from flea market! ) or do do they have some special hair on them?

I like reading your tutorials
They make me notice some small details I'd miss otherwise

I'm glad they're interesting
I think the details gone on the submitted works anyways, due to their small size.

Thank you
I think I was watching Sin City too when I painted this. (I love to have movies on while working on pictures)
It is fun to show the process how the hopeless sketches and rough colours can become a painting.

I agree with Mistress. simply stunning to see how it all comes together from fragment sketches and finally turns into a masterpiece as if by magic

I actualy LOVE the sketches
I really do, it sends out a message of hope.
What an amazing progress of your art, for it can't be a tutorial

Thank you so much Sometimes it amazes me too how can this became a painting after such a crappy and hopeless-looking start ( Seriously, at the beginning of the process, it's hard to resist not to throw out the whole thing
)
And it is good to show the process.
(Hehhe I'm glad you like the sketches too )
