Erm, excuse me. How do you colour? Do you draw it in or fill it?

Fill

Ah, thanks. I noticed that some of the lines you drew were incomplete (not fully attached, anyway) so I wondered what you did.

Your shading technique (new layers + opacity) just blew my mind. I never thought to do that. This just made my life a million times easier.

how did you get so good at drawing with a graphics tablet? i just got one and I'm finding the transition a little difficult, any advice?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ky-nim In reply to AdamFalconer [2012-12-02 01:37:02 +0000 UTC]

Honestly my advice is draw, draw, draw again.

It is really hard but over time it will get easier.

I guess I'm stuck. I'll have to earn seven hundred more bucks. (The first seven hundred were to buy my laptop.) Oh well, sticking to traditional art for me it is, then.

This is great, but unfortunately some of it doesn't work for us users of Photoshop Elements. Do you have any help for that?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ky-nim In reply to Chewya [2012-05-28 03:32:00 +0000 UTC]

Sadly I never used Elements ;w;....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Chewya In reply to ky-nim [2012-05-28 03:46:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh well, Elements is lacking in a few features, and smoothing with Elements makes it look like bad sprite-work.

I tried this on Photoshop Elements and I got this : link

I couldn't really sharpen it though, and the outline /lineart lines are a bit thick, so any other way I can correct that?

Either way this tutorial is aweshum and hope you can also check out my Platinum Nuzlocke
P.S. btw I'm the lol-epicfail person who messages you on tumblr ><

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ky-nim In reply to PokeCeline [2011-08-08 14:03:00 +0000 UTC]

I dont have Elements but you should check out your brush settings and make sure there is pressure sensitivity. As for sharpening the lines, try the sharpen tool or go to filter>sharpen>sharpen edges.

Hope that helped :>
