Description
Famous Oklahoman Will Rogers(1879-1935) once said of Oklahoma, "If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, wait a few minutes and it'll change." The humorous part about this quote is that numerous states have picked up on the quote and many use it and believe it to have originated in their own state! This goes to show how beloved the man was and how his words influenced and spread throughout the United States (and time) when he spoke his down to earth, country boy language. The reason I mention this with this photo, is because many of the old, abandoned homesteads and farms around here where established during the very time period of Will Rogers' life. And in this picture, the turbulence in the skies are showing the rapid signs of weather change. Oklahoma sits in an area where many weather systems intersect and battle, creating erratic shifts in weather and much excitement. So much so, that the weathermen on the local news stations are like celebrities or rock stars. It's quite comical at times!

I live in Alberta and that quote "If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes and it'll change." Is something we say all the time haha.

It changes consistantly.
It'll be really nice out for an hour and then before we know it, it's storming xD

Very nice.
And so true about the weathermen. We even have drinking games named after them.
"...someone get Val on the gentner". Drink!

I'm a little late on my response...sorry...
You about made me spew my drink out from laughing! A buddy and me always crack jokes about good ol Val and Gary. Gary might be the only one that can walk out in a field and voice command the storms like Gandalf the Gray or Saruman in Lord of the Rings!
