I just found out you can get a "Reverse Mount Macro Adapter" that'll do this for you for under $15 on ebay! My GF just surprised me with one... and its freakin awesome. That way you dont have to hold it so steady, and you can adjust your focus a ton easier! And maybe you can sell your macro lens now! ^_^

Yes, holding it after awhile is tiresome and taping isn't very steady. Thnx for sharing the info!

Maybe I'm just not doing this right - but how are you supposed to focus? It seems awesome, thanks so much for sharing.

you have to manually focus, going in and out and capturing it at the right moment..

"this is a guide for the 18-55mm kit lens usually bought with te canon 350d..."
Do you mean that the lens is with the canon 350d when you buy it or that you should buy it extra to it?
I'm not really into the lens stuff etc...

the 18-55 is the stock lens that came with your camera.

You just saved me a BUNCH of money. Though I'm still nervous about playing with a partially detatched lens. Oh well, we'll see how it turns out.

As long as it's not left in sunlight and you don't leave the lens off for a long time then it will be fine
Just regulary clean your lens.

Wow thats pretty damn neat. I usually just gaffa tape the lens to the camera body in order and sit on a tripod. Though focusing just means I have to move the tripod around..
You have a nice girlfriend
