Description Gotta love when I submit Creature Comp 7 before CC6 like a dyslexic moron, eh? Also gotta love when I disappear for three months and not submit my supposed 666th deviation like I said I would in the last deviation I submitted. Although, TO BE FAIR, apparently I'm a big fucking moron and didn't realize journals (or a guess "posts" now... fucking Eclipse...) counted as deviations, so TECHNICALLY this isn't pic numero 666-o (Although I'm currently cleansing/archiving some of my old journals, so the total number is going down once again anyways).

So uh, yeah guys, how's it been? Surviving the end of the world ok? Eclipse sucks hard, doesn't it? Anyone even still here?

In case anyone is lost on why I submitted CC7 before CC6, it's actually because the True Destroyer of Worlds (creature 2) took waaaaaay longer to draw than I anticipated, so I got impatient and finished all the other creatures in this comp first and moved on to the next one and, shocker, completed that one before finishing the TDoW. I do like to organize these type of deviations in the order I drew them, hence why I didn't just make the other one the sixth round. But, in the end I powered through and finished ye old Destroyer, and BOY does it look wonky. Who would of guessed cramming to much detail into something with a pen would make it hard to tell what the heck is going on? (Also I accidentally made the Godzilla to building proportion at the base of the TD off, the buildings are too large but Godzilla is to scale)

Creatures are numbered and labeled with a letter designating which project they are from.
F = Fakemon, P = Pterraforming, L = Lucid, R = Requests or fan art (Mostly fan art, F was already taken), and now a new category, T = Terraria!

1: [Lucid + Pterraforming] Northern spaghetti vinesnake. A close relative of the northern redbelly snake, vinesnakes are an arboreal species with dull olive coloration found primarily in eastern temperate forests. What really makes vinesnakes stand out, however, is not their shape, but their diet. Unusual among snakes, spaghetti vinesnakes feed predominately on caterpillars and maggots. Tent caterpillars are especially a preferred prey. Because of its diet, they are actually a welcome sight in bird nests, where parent birds will often let them stay in the nest and eat any potential maggots or other parasites that might harm the chicks. In turn, the snake gets food and protection from potential predators.

2: [Terraria + Lucid] The True Destroyer of Worlds, or as I like to call him, the True Destroyer of my Remaining Sanity. The True Destroyer is a personal Terraria project that revolves around, well, the TD, along with items and rebalances revolving around the corruption, crimson, and Moon Lord/celestial towers. The TD himself is meant to be a more melee oriented counterpart to the Moon Lord, and the corruption counterpart to something called the True Cthulhu Cortex (ironically though the TD only appears in Crimson worlds, while the TCC only appears in Corruption worlds). He and the TCC are ancient beings, being much older than the worlds, the creatures, and even the Great War of Cthulhu. He was essentially a weapon created by the original humans on the original Terrarian world to defeat the original, actual Cthulhu. Which he did, then ate, then turned on everyone when his hunger still wasn't satiated. In essence, he's meant to be a direct contrast to the idea of Cthulhu and eldritch horrors; the idea that man is small and meaningless, that no matter what mankind does, they have no real impact on the greater beings of the universe. In turn, the idea of the TD is that man is WAY more influential than they realize, causing unintentional havoc on the larger universe without even really meaning to.

2a: Destroyer Probes, first phase. Like the regular Destroyer, the TDoW launches probes from itself to attack the player. However, these launches do not correlate with damage taken, rather are launched during a specific attack phase. The probes are also always launched in pairs rather than singularly. They behave like mini twins, utilizing many of the same attacks/attack patterns, albeit much stronger and faster. When both probes are alive, a red and green wire will connect the two units together, giving the player an idea of where the two halves are positioned during combat.

2b: Destroyer Probes, second phase. Like the twins, the TD's probes enter a second phase when their HP falls below half, although in the probes' case the HP is shared between the two. This means both probes enter their second phase simultaneously, and are killed simultaneously.

3: [Fan art + Fakemon] Xinaosura, a gargantuan fakemon created by TerusTheBird . The concept originated from a dream he had, where there was a sort of Pokemon Movie he was watching/partaking in where Xinaosura first appeared, looming over the city. Apparently, aside from being larger than the city itself, it also possessed mind controlling abilities, psychic powers, extendable tendrils, and smaller, organic helicopter looking "probes". It also can broadcast a signal that causes those that hear it to become obsessed with it. This all seems scary, but in actuality, like all Pokemon, it could be befriended/tamed.
Ironically, before Sw/Sh announcement, everyone was saying the concept wouldn't work, that is was too big, that it would never work, etc etc etc... but then along comes Gigantamaxing/dynamaxing to prove EVERYONE who doubted wrong... then to rub salt in the wound, Orbeetle was released, along with an eerily similar looking Gigantimax form... WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?!

4: [Lucid + Pterraforming] Giant chameleon katydid, a flightless katydid found through much of the southern US area of Pterearth. Like the name suggests, these katydids are massive, often growing up to four inches in length. While they can't fly, they can still jump quite well, and can give a painful bite if grabbed. Still, camouflage is their best defense, which, despite their size, are quite hard to spot among their leafy canopy homes. GCKs are omnivores, eating both tender leaves and any unlucky animal they can catch. Like most katydids, the males create a loud hissing noise to attract mates, which during peak breeding season can drown out the night with their chorus.

5: [Terraria] A Plague Flea, a small enemy idea for Terraria. It's meant to be an enemy that spawns from Skaven Chargers and Giant rats when killed, which then attack the player. These enemies were essentially supposed to be spawned during a "four horseman" like event as a counterpart to the celestial pillars when summoning the True Destroyer/True Cthulhu Cortex, although I'm not sure if I'll keep the idea. The rats/fleas were part of the "pestilence" wave/area/whatever.

6: [Terraria] Skaven Charger, a charger type enemy meant for the original four horsemen idea. Originally I was planning on the event being more like the Moon events, with four waves being based on the four horsemen, and the actual horsemen being bosses required to advance to the next wave. After defeating the final horseman, the TDoW/TCC boss fights would start. Again, I'm not sure if I want to keep this, as there are quite a few wave events already.

7: [Pterraforming] The deathwing, or shadow-of-death wing, the largest flying pterosaur ever to live on Pterearth. With fearsome beak and talons, and a wingspan stretching nearly sixty feet in length, it is also one of the most formidable. Often called the megalodon of the skies, it specializes in killing marine pterosaurs, scouring coastal waterways in search of unsuspecting prey. Despite their fearsome appearance and size, however, they aren't the evil killing machines many might think they are. Instead, like all animals, they only do what they need to survive. Deathwings, like most pteranosimians, are monogamous, and will remain with the same mate year after year, raising an average of two flaplings every three years (taking three years to reach maturity). Deathwings are also migratory in many parts of their range, following pods of seawings along their own migratory paths. Some individuals will even travel from pole to pole in their pursuit of prey.

8: [Pterraforming] The salmon pterrorca, a medium sized killer pterodolphin that live very similarly to mammalian orcas for which they are named. Related to the greater bighead pterodolphin from Creature Comp 5, they share many of the same characteristics, such as the cranial melon, modified crest fin, wing flippers, and serrated beaks. However, they are nearly twice as large. In addition to this, they also possess spurs on their front flippers, which they both use to fight with each other and to slam into prey. Many different pterrorca species exist, each specializing in a different type of prey. The salmon pterrorca, as it's name suggests, specializes on fish, especially river breeding fish like salmon and trout. Like mammalian orcas, it seems that pterrorcas as a group began specializing in different prey, but unlike orcas have now split into completely separate species. Despite being a fearsome predator in the sea, they are still prey themselves, especially to deathwings, who grab them when they leap out of the water.

9: [Pterraforming] A male unicorn ptrerelk, a North American unguldactyloid native to the rolling plains of the prairie. While larger than a horse, unicorn pterelks are actually of the medium variety of unguldactyloids, which, due to a system of large airsacs are able to grow much larger than their mammalian counterparts. The most distinguishing feature of this species is the male's long, sword-like horn, which they use for both display and to "joust" each other to claim a mate. Unlike many unguldactyloids, unicorn pterelks are solitary, only gathering together to breed in the spring. This, combined with a naturally low population, make them quite rare, much like the mythical mammalian creatures for which they are named.

10: [Terraria] Giant Rat, another rat-based enemy from the aforementioned horseman event. Meant to be smaller and faster than the Skaven Chargers, and would be able to climb walls.

11: [Lucid + Pterraforming] The catskipper, a strange terrestrial catfish native to the Great Lakes watershed on Pterrearth. Catskippers seem to have developed convergently with mudskippers, developing similar strategies to move about and survive on land. However, because there are no tides, they instead opt to live in marshy areas and vernal pools, digging burros in the mud to survive in. Then, during the winter, they head underground to hibernate. Catskippers are also much more omnivorous than mudskippers, eating whatever they can catch, including each other. To defend themselves, each are equipped with three venomous barbs on the pectoral and dorsal fin, which they erect when threatened. These can also be deployed to wedge themselves into their burrows.

12: [Request + Fakemon] The second stage for a grass starter for a fakemon region collab between me, Rexander, and a few other people. Of course, this would probably be a final evolution in the earlier games, but, hey, most of the new pokemon designs are more complex. Plus it's a centaur, that's hard to balance. The starter line is meant to be based on centaurs and knights, with leaf armor, weapons, and mane/tails. The first two stages would probably be pure grass types, whereas the final evolve would be grass/steel or grass/fighting.
