My first tutorial.Few days ago a friend talked me about that there should be a Paint Tool SAI tutorial, so I started to do this tutorial about this media. Well here is, it's too basic .

thanks, that help me ALOT, but one Q: did u use new vector layer and use the curve tool or pen and draw it out? i use the curve tool but it buldges out alittle, well to me...

No, I never use vector layer, I use normal layer and I work using the hand as tipical drawing

I supose you've a pen tablet, so I don't know which is the problem, perhaps the program has a failures. Sorry for not being more helpfull

i have a question. when i do the "inking" im having trouble with making the strokes go thin-large-thin.
its all the same pressure. even on photoshop im having trouble with that. do you think you can help me?

Perhaps is due the tablet driver or you must see in brush or tool options, look at presure options or size options

i use bamboo (smaller version)
but i use the other end of my pen to draw because the tip doesnt work anymore. i dont know why.

The other side... I think has no pressure calibration, so I think the problen is on it. Perhaps you must change the tip or boy another pen.

i think that if i buy another pen, that other pen will work on my tablet. at least thats what my sister said.
in this case, im gonna have to buy a whole new tablet.

Hi, I use a bamboo tablet as well and I had been having the same problem. My problem was that the tip of the pen had been worn down, so I would suggest looking for some pen nibs. It worked for me ^-^

My tablet is old and now Wacom don't buy it. You can buy another Bamboo or a Intuos.

Es una Wacom Graphire 4, ya no las venden ahora las hay mucho mejores. Mira en las opciones de pincel, puedes seleccionar cabezales para la herramienta, y luego tienes calibradores de presiΓ³n, contraste y mΓ‘s cosas. La cuestiΓ³n sobre todo es probar.

I'm having trouble with doing the final lineart over the sketch..all of my lines are roung and they aren't as soft and smooth as yours are. Do you have any tips on making my lines nicer?

Do You use a tablet (wacom, trust, etc)?
Well, you can look the tool options and verify that the option "Simple circle" is selected, perhaps the problen is on it. Another possibilty is that you selected "Legacy pen" instead "Pen"

how did u get the backround layer and if ur using pen for lineart what r u using to make it look like ur drawing by hand and not the mouse?
