Description Work premiered at SDCC and featured in my book Dead Apes in the snow. It's a poster for a new series I've just started for Raw Studios, written by the sensational Mike Carey, called The Lycan! This is in the tradition of Franklin Booth, Bernie Wrightson and Clement Coll, as requested by the publisher. Cheers to Grant Goleash for a gorgeous colour job!

Yes - I should have said, it's one of the stipulations of the publisher that it has that Wrightson/Coll/Booth feel to it...

im not exactly sure how to express the right praise for this... it reminds me of all the 'old school' comics/GNs because of the line work, but it is very much a modern piece because of its feel.. like i said, not sure exactly how to express the right praise for this, but i love it regardless!!

Nice exploration of textures to set tone, and describe shapes. And I especially like how the colors are understated. They don't obliterate all the line detail as is usually true of most color work in comic books these days.
