Description
Work premiered at SDCC and featured in my book Dead Apes in the snow. It's a poster for a new series I've just started for Raw Studios, written by the sensational Mike Carey, called The Lycan! This is in the tradition of Franklin Booth, Bernie Wrightson and Clement Coll, as requested by the publisher. Cheers to Grant Goleash for a gorgeous colour job!Related content

nice, simple, subtle colours that don't detract or overwhelm the linework

Considering that most of the illustration is hatching as opposed to actual linework for shape form and volume, it brings to mind old woodcuts of Albrecht Durer's work...

It's very Clemente Coll/Booth/Wrightson inspired, as requested by the publisher. I think there's Karl the Viking era Don Lawrence in it too. But I'll settle for Durer very happily! Much appreciated!
