One wretched Time War Dalek, as previously alluded to! It's not *quite* done. I need to fiddle with textures and things, but it's mostly there. To save time, I am also be using this picture to illustrate some minor amendments to my 'City' and 'Empire' models, mainly to the guns. These are designed to distance them and bring them closer to the Time War model, respectively....and if they had been textured with anything other than chrome, you might actually be able to *see* those changes. But hey, it's a nice picture. Incidentally, this means that 'Dalek Evolution' project is about done. The only thing that remains to do is revisit my New Dalek Paradigm model and make a few edits that I now see need to be made. It's fascinating how building newer and better models makes you nit pick everything in the old ones.
Anyho, enjoy this WIP. And as usual, I do not own Doctor Who OR the Daleks. Or, now I come to think of it, Doctor Who AND the Daleks. Now there's a gap in my DVD collection I should close...

-my dalek dimension preferences are just my own preferences and my art is highly amateurish - basically, double the height of the gunbox gets you to the collar, meaning the long slats are exactly double the length of the short front ones... its just if they throw out forcefields (as they do in my mind), it would make sense to have it like that.
Hey - don't let a few cribbed bits get you down! If anything, you should be flattered! I think your response was justified; I don't mean that you should be grateful someone ripped you off! - but nonetheless, doesn't it indicate the quality of your work? (I am of two minds to post this - I don't want you to misinterpret the above and I think you were completely justified in your response and anger...)

Anything new in the pipeline - anything Cyber-ry or Daleky? (or for that matter, quark-y or drathro-y or Greatest Show Bus Conductor-y?)
I'd love to send you a scan of my (hand drawn, ruled line) ideal dimensions dalek, as I'd love to see it realised. But I'd love to see some more work from you at some point!

The Monopoly business rather took the wind out of my sails. I'll probably get back to it in a few weeks or so. For the moment, I'm building a robot archeologist.

love the gunsticks - awesome, always preferred the multi-support-strut design from the classic series over the egg-whisks we had with RTD. Still not sure about the Paradim design being as long as the manipulator arm, but it definitely looks more imposing

I'm probably reading too much into it, but I'm sure there's a bit of influence on them from Ron Turner's work on the TV21 Dalek Chronicles comic-strip, especially his more stylised work at the end of the comic's run. That, I think, is where the long gunsticks come from.
Which is fine by me, since I love those strips!

I prefer your city dalek altho some of mechmasters many hundred variations are pretty sweet.

There is something wonderfully...elegent is perhaps the wrong word, but there's something about the lines of the original Daleks that just works. It's easy to see why they were such a hit, and why the design has never really been bettered since.
And I'd be astonished if you didn't find at least one or two of Mechmaster's Daleks to your liking! He must have done hundreds by now!
