crystals grown into tools & weapons, awsome tech

Im thinking with the new body you made for them, they can grow tools & weapons from ther crystal body. Kind of like Diamond head from the Ben 10 cartoon series.

Exsept, Diamond Head coulden't spray an acidic vaper to mealt a trget.

Heh - not sure about the gender...probably an 'it'!

Interesting, though it looks more overtly mechanical than I'd have imagined the Krotons to be. Presumably the legs can fold up to form a solid base?

No, actually. I did consider that but couldn't really see much point - especially as it would have involved more complicated geometry. After all, the Krotons' default state is as a crystal slush - I can't think up much justification for them becoming solid blocks as well.

The mechanical aspect was a deliberate choice - I went back and looked at the original models, and listened to the descriptions of them as bio-mechanical in 'Return of the Krotons', and it occurred to me that given that they are explicitly crystalline, there's nothing to stop them growing into mechanical forms. In fact, it makes more sense to do that than try to emulate an organic body: mechanical joints don't require tendons, for example.

It's also a darn sight easier to model!

Hmm, fair point. I suppose integrating technology into the body will be very different and much more "natural", certainly less invasive, if you're naturally crystalline.

I think I'll name him Stabby.

Thanks! And I certainly wish to know - it's always useful to have another opinion on a model.
