Description
As requested by here is a pokemon tutorial! More specifically, a Pikachu tutorial, since i figured that was probably the most popular pokemon (correct me if i'm wrong there). Now i should point out, i haven't played or watched Pokemon for a LONG time, so there are a few inaccuracies on her which i apologise for. I missed the stripes on her back, as well as making her cheeks pink instead of red. But you guys can fix those on your own versions.Anyhow, hope you like this tut, let me know if you make your own Pikachu, because i'd love to see it.

Is it okay if I make this for a friend? She's a big fan of Pokemon, and it's going to be for a late Christmas gift. It probably won't get posted online unless she wants it to be because I have a horrible camera, and no way to get the picture online. I'd give you credit, make sure she knows the tutorial's location, and such.

Thank you very much! I'm not the biggest fan of Pokemon, because I don't really care to watch the shows, though I have one of the games. I think she will like it, but I'll be sure she tells you her opinion herself if you like!

I bought some polymer clay a year ago, but I wasn't even able to make an even-looking ball out of it. *blushes* I didn't expect to be so horribly clumsy with clay, so I gave it up really quickly (even my boyfreid had to admit that my attempts were very very poor).
But now I saw your tutorial and maybe I'll give it a try once again... But I've got one question that bothered me ever since: do you use gloves or something like that when you work with clay? My clay was always full of ugly fingerprints and I didn't know how to get rid of them^^

I'm really glad you've decided to give your clay a try again - it can be hard at first (i found it difficult) but the more you practise, the easier it gets.
As for fingerprints, I don't use gloves, but i try not to touch the clay too much with my fingertips. When i roll a ball, i use my palms so that there aren't fingerprints, and i try to be gentle with the clay when i do use my fingertips. I also find that if your clay is too warm it will get fingerprints on it easier, so trying to keep it cool (room temperature usually) helps. You can always put your clay in the fridge for a few minutes if it is too warm. But in the end it's impossible to avoid getting a few fingerprints, especially at first, so don't be discouraged - just keep practising! Good luck!

Thank you - i don't put a mouth on my creatures usually, but you could if you wanted. :3

I found his tail pretty tricky too. What will your next tut be?
