Description
Ida made her way through the markets of Necropolis, eyeing off the wares of the other vendors. The weremouse smiled to herself. Many of the merchants sold quality stuff, but none could compare to what she sold. She knew that there was plenty of speculation about her merchandise and how rare and foreign it was. Some had even confronted her about where she obtained her merchandise, hoping that she would slip up and tell them. The lengths that others would go to to find out the truth made Ida laugh. She was way too good at keeping secrets to let slip her sources. The weremouse made her way towards her home. She needed to stock up on fresh items for her stall, which meant a 'field trip' outside the walled city. Movement to her left cause Ida's eye, and she sighed silently to herself. Someone was obviously trying to tail her and find out her secrets. The weremouse carried on as though unaware. As she neared her home she turned sharply down and alley. The Necropolin pentagram on her back began to grow hot as she tapped into the powers of her ancestors, and Ida transformed, taking on her feral form. In an instant she was no taller than a few inches, a unique variation causing her feral form to decrease in height, rather than grow. She looked about. Her shadow had not yet entered the alley, and the weremouse took the opportunity to duck behind a drainage pipe. Ida waited. The person following her entered the alley and paused. She spotted the official uniform of the Praetorian Guard, her heart skipping a beat at the sight. The weremouse held her breath. The guard looked about, trying to figure out where Ida had gone. The seconds ticked by, and eventually to her relief the guard turned and walked away. Ida waited, wanting to make sure the coast was clear, and then hurried to her home to gather her supplies. It had been a close call, and the realization that the Praetorian Guard were investigating her movements made her worried. She decided that this trip would have to be her last for a while and allow further scrutiny to die down. It didn't matter too much though. She just had to make sure that she traded a bit extra this time to have stock in reserve. Her customers demanded her wears, and as one of the premier merchants in Necropolis, she was more than willing to take the risks to give them what they wanted...My part of a blind trade with

You know, I was always under the impression that Necropolin were transformations... weren't instantaneous.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that you did this. Quality work as always. The symbol isn't exactly the way I imagined it, and the angle of her ears looks a little odd, but nobody's perfect.

They're not. The body shifts and morphs/changes. The speed of the transformation (and pain associated with it) varies between individuals, with the main factor being experience. Lizard's first change was slower and painful because it was his initial transformation. For someone like Ida however, I can see her change being quicker due to more practice (hence why I used the term 'instant')

That's the problem with character/setting profiles. There's always that one detail you leave out that inevitably becomes relevant.
Incidentally, where have you been? It's been over a week since I last heard from you!

Busy with work of late, plus the net has been acting up.

Acting up how? My own home Internet connection's been annoyingly intermittent; one minute it works just fine, the next nothing loads, and repeat ad infinitum.

It's been really slow. We're in a kind of 'black spot' (from what I've been told), and sometimes it cuts out or goes really slow. Also the last few days, my housemates and I have been installing GTA5 on our ps4s which has slowed down the net to about 2kps (I think. I was told that is about as slow as it can get..?)
