Technically Davy Jones isn’t completely a Disney property, so why shouldn’t I make my own character based on this legend.
Davy Jones is mostly seen through folklore as a demon of sorts, bringing misfortune wherever he goes, but in pirates of the Caribbean he was a significantly more complex character.
In my version, Davy Jones has a more mechanical look to it, emphasizing the idea of his infamous locker, making him the locker itself, I also sprinkled the key and keyhole motif here and there.
This Davy Jones proclaims himself the embodiment of the sea, patrolling parts of it where no man should go, and if someone does, than a fate worse than death awaits them if Davy Jones manages to catch them.
Using his keyblade to steal their soul and injecting them into its metallic body, the victims become featureless husks and join the lifeless crew of the Flying Dutchman.
Davy Jones has complete control over these husks, in a way similarly to an hive mind, but his control do not stop at this, in fact he can control every being inside his side of the ocean, even the waters themselves.
If someone manages to escape his grasps, he will personally hunt them down, living no witnesses of his passage.
As of now nobody has been able to describe or confirm the existence of Davy Jones, but among common folks its said that even by mentioning his name a storm will start soon after, and a chilling breeze will pass by your side.
