Well… for better or worse…. It’s finally done!This is the result of the 2nd award for the 10K hit. This scene is for . The idea was to create a scene to show that even a super hero can have a bad day.
There was a lot of work on the body texture. The entire shower room was modeled in 3DSMax and is the most complicated model I’ve done to date. The brick texture is a modified texture from some wonderful stock her at DA [link] (Thanks parrotdolphin!). There is also a lot of subtle texture work in the tiles, floor, skin, and brick as well.

This is a beautiful piece. I just happened to be surfing :supermaorifulla: gallery and saw this one. The work you must have put into this is mind boggling. All the little details that you mentioned above are simply gorgeous. You've shown a vulnerable side to a character and done it beautifully.

I wanted an "industrial" feel for the shower room. I think I managed to get it. I was really happy with how the bricks turned out. I would have liked to have "distressed" the tiles, but that was just getting into the insane amount of work department.

Actually, I would aggree about using this hair with pointy ears, but this is almost the exact hairstyle of the character represented here. So, I'm not going to feel to bad about it.

Again, thanks for pointing me in the direction of those wonderful textures. I really like how the brick turned out in this piece. I never thought plumbing would be so hard. Sadly, the camera angle doesn't show the shower heads I spent so much time on. (oh well!)

The brick looks good. So do the tattoos - that's a lot of work in itself.
The shower heads... yeah, I was thinking, they're probably there but you just can't see them. Maybe you can use them for something else sometime?

I *almost* went with black and white. However, I also liked the dull colors as well. They helped the scene quite a bit.
