Now she forever has to pay the price for his mistake."i saw the gaga hair freebie over at renderosity and had to do something with it. I'm still not sure how I ended up doing a little witch scene... Oh well. Enjoy anyway.
The usual. The character is Aiko3. The scene is rendered in megapov using my custom IBL lighting engine.

Oh, I love that fabric. Did you do that? It's really nice. I like the hair too, I'm trying it out - needs a lot of adjustments - but it's still fun.

Yep. I modeled a new cloth piece in wings 3D and then ran lots of cloth sims on it... uhg. The hair was a bit painful to use. I never could get it to render correctly in Firefly. (Good thing I use Povray I guess.)

Really? What did you have to do to get it to render in firefly? I get little checker patterns all over it when I attempt to render it. Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, same here - looked super bad. My guess is that it works much better in DS. I took it into Blender and set all the normals to point outward. Then I gave the mat a complete overhaul because the spec and the trans were not good.

I notice the transparency problem. I didn't fix it though. (Hence the gray tips at her hair ends...)

I like the gradiented mist. NICE touch! That's how stories grow. You do a little character work and SUDDENLY, you are on your third novel and going strong!
