Description
Two of the Drow’s elite, the Red Guard, stands watch over their queen’s throne till she returns.Render Notes:
Ever since I saw BillyT’s Bizarre Suit, I thought it would make a great foundation for a suit of armor. However, it suffers from the fact that it has no morph targets and the default chest size is huge. Nonetheless, I figured “what the heck!” and made a scene based on it anyway. The bulkiness of the armor helps to offset the large size of the figures’ chests.
The remaining armor pieces come from one of RNDA’s suits of armor (I think). The cloth object and textures are mine. In fact, I either heavily modified or created every texture in this scene. (Don’t ask how long that took….)

did you model these characters? Or was this a premade from Poser?

The characters and most of the outfit are premade. That hair and capes are the result of simulations. Almost all the materials in the scene are custom creations as well.

Beautiful rendering. The cloth is exceptionally nice. My only real critique here is that the skin tone is way too light. They come across more as tan surface elves instead of drow. Otherwise, the whole thing looks great.

That's cool!! The capes are wonderful, both the fabric (material) and the way they crease down and to the ground! The whole image look slightly wicked (the skull helps perhaps? ) and not like a render - it's almost like an illustration!! Fantastic work!! (and then the dark elves are always the best part of pointed ears!

The wrap is not post work. It is the result of a cloth simulation.

That cape had to be difficult, hadn't it? You should turn proffesional.

Well I think you should anyway... I mean there are lots of OMG-talented artists who do the same as you but you could definetly keep up with them! Try and give it a go sometime....

Lovely hun, the chest works out great with the armor, as you said it covers it well and because of it's texture it doesn't look like they are going to tip over from the weight
