Description
Well here is my first attempt at a tutorial, nothing fancy. I chose to use a draw along format broken down into stages so you can try it out to see for yourself how it looks. (There is a nail file in the pic which i totally forgot to mention, it is used to clean and sharpen the stumps into a nice point for detailed work. so much for a well planed tutorial). Beginners should also read [link] for a valuable blending tutorial not to be overlooked. Hope you get something out of it. If so i will do more on different skin texture techniques. The original drawing used in this tutorial can be seen here [link]Related content

Ok, don't worry, do them when you have time (I don't know if it's well said, it is 00:20 in my country, I'm too tired to think xD)

Very good tutorial Mark. It's clear and well explained!
I have two questions for you after reading this:
Do you generally use circulism for skin, or just for older skin?
How do you clean your chamois?? (I'm always a little afraid too attack it with soap, in case bits of soap can't be rinsed out well enough. Water alone doesn't seem to quite do the trick, though.)

Thank you. I use circulism on all skin at the moment, i'm trying to see how far i can take it. I washed my first couple of chamois and they came up nice and clean with soap but they lost their tooth, they were not as good as they were. There has to be a way of prolonging their life, just haven't found it yet so i found some nice cheap ones that do the trick and they last a while before i need to replace them.

Thanks a lot for those answers, really helpful!
Weird though that the expensive chamois appears to be of lesser quality than the cheapo's, eh?

What do you mean by "stipple motion"?
I appreciate this tutorial and will refer to it when I get brave enough
to do textured skin. Thanks for sharing, Mark!
