They say the marked borders of territories are quite meaningless in the void of space. But in certain regions of the universe, nature itself seems to delineate the extent of different domains.

The influence of Hellespont reaches as far as the blue light of its newborn star before it is swallowed by the reddish hue of the neighboring Kiddim. There looms the chiefdom and its encroaching wrath that would seek to swallow Hellespont's paradise worlds. Where the two lights and nebulae meet, the fleet stands ready and guards.

Through the windows of a small patrol ship, it often looks as though there is a greater, cosmic clash underway. By comparison, the tensions between Terrans and Kiddim seem scarcely more than childish squabbling. And yet, the fate of the colonies is no less important in the defender's hearts. So the two meeting nebulae make for a fitting backdrop to their stand-off, as continues year after year.
