Everyone always asks who was better Kirk or Picard but they tend to forget what a great character Sisko was.

I agree- Sisko was my favourite Captain. Janeway was just a bit of a wimp (but yes, I still loved her and voyager- though some people would wonder why lol) - Sisko didn't want violence, but he knew how and when to assert himself. He was a badass. Personally, I think that instead of star trek xi, they should have made a DS9 movie- but that wouldn't have made as much money. Also, people should read Alien Spotlight: Cardassians. It shows a bit of what happens after the series ends.

Quark you learn a whole lot more about Ferengi and that they aren't all complete jerks

Yep Klingon. Can't say much about him without spoilers, but he he is a character who was only meant for a few epsiodes, but eventually became an important supporting cast member.

As to the "captain question" you posed: I've admittedly never been as fond of Sisko as I have Kirk and Picard. He was certainly a wonderful leader-- his crewmembers and the Bajoran people seemed very fond of him, and he did keep the station up and running during a major war-- but I simply didn't get attached to him as I did the other characters. I think what made me like DS9 the way I did was that it was very character driven-- you got to be really fond of all the characters, even the minor ones (I know I'm not the only one out there who liked Garak!); for some reason, though, Sisko just never made my favorites list.

At risk of sounding boring for saying so, I think all the major captains had their good and bad factors. I liked them all for different reasons.
I will however state that I bear no opinion on Archer, because I never watched Enterprise. Can't make an opinion on something I don't know.

I consider him the greatest in my book. Picard is classic like Kirk, but Sisko had a lot more heart. He was a lot more personable and I like that better than Mr. Stick-in-the-Mud Picard lol Though don't give me wrong, I love Picard too for being just that lol

Sisko and Picard are pretty evenly matched in my book. It's hard to make a call on that.

Sisko was awesome but his sudden religious hatred of dukat that pushed the cardassian into he arms of the pah-Wraiths (and Kai Winn EWWWW!!DX ) annoyed me. He should have tried to be more understanding- they were almost best buds in the first few seasons. Yeah he annoyed me in Waltz. >:'
Awesome comic- DS9 the best series of Startrek EVER-in my opinion anyway. Definately had the most funky bad guys-'cept maybe Q but he had a cameo so. Meh.

Actually, any potential friendship between Sisko and Dukat pretty much died the moment he brought his ship around to join the Dominion fleet in the takeover of Cardassia. And Dukat went to the Pah Wraiths because the Prophets stopped the Dominion reinforcements from the Gamma Quadrant, and the Pah Wraiths were the only thing that could possibly defeat the Prophets.

yeah but i like to conveniantly foregt that. ;D Sadly i'm on 'The Duk's' side - even though Sisko is The Bajoran's 'Black Jesus'. its a pity really-they kicked ass together.
Dukat did try to patch things up in his own special crazy guy way and i don't think he ever truly thought of Sisko as his nemesis like Sisko thought of him. even when his daughter died Dukat held no anger towards the Captain,in fact he tried to patch things up between them- by kidnapping him...? yeah... (well nothing like a friendly kidnap!)
Just like he forgave Damar. I don't think he could have stayed mad at Damar. He was the only one who understood him the most.
But thats just my opinion.
