I loved how he blackmailed Quark into staying around in the pilot episode. Although, I have to say the "captain moment" that sticks with me the most was from "Rules of Engagement." Where he does a great Perry Mason-style defense of Worf, and then b!%&#-slapped him in private.

I'd say easily the greatest.
He overcame the most tragedy, took the least rewarding position in one of the most volatile regions of space, spearheaded a war effort, tip-toed through the minefield of being both an officer and being seen as a religious figure by the native people, and was a single father the whole time.

Truer words have never been spoken. However I enjoy watching Kirk(Both William Shatner and Chris Pine) and Picard more. Probably because I had more TOS and TNG DVDs than DS9.
