For more Lil Formers head to www.LilFormers.comMy take on Disney's recent acquisition of Marvel.
Initial predictions:
-will probably make tons of money for both Marvel & Disney.
-Boom Studios will be losing all their Muppet, Pixar, and other Disney licenses once their current contract it up
-will it be good or bad for Marvel creatively? big question mark, though Disney has a pretty poor record creatively the in recent years. I don't read Marvel though these days anyways (despite being a Marvel zombie in my teens), so why should I care, heh.

Turned out not to be a bad thing: Tons of entertaining cartoons and movies despite what some may still think, first to create a "Shared Cinematic universe" and putting Marvel heroes back into mainstream media.

Haha, what's funny to me is how this has gone.
1: An overall fantastic series of movies, and the comics being basically unaffected in any way besides having a slight sales boost.
2: The fact that the Fantastic 4 are one of the few things that are entirely out of the clutches of Disney, and the awful way Fox has handled them in comparison to Disney with the other Marvel franchises.

I can't help but notice that the first major storyline after the acquisition was Heroic Age. That can't possibly have anything to do with the new boss, can it?

i doubt it storylines that big tend to be planned well in adavnce. I read an article somewhere that "siege" and "heroic age" was planned about a year before publication so it predates the takeover.

I just guess it's an odd coincidence.

my guess is they take a page out of what warner bros does with DC let the staff do their job and tell a good story. If warner bros intervened with DC in any way we wouldn't have classics like watchmen or the dark knight returns. If disney take a step back and let marvel be marvel and be little more than a credit line then i have no issue with it

After gaining some more info after the last message I posted, I think it's safe to say that this takeover won't be as bad as I thought it might be. The greedy evil Eisner no longer runs Disney and the new CEO Iger has no plans to to do anything drastic. Marvel is a smart company. There's no way they'd agree to this buyout if Disney was planning to run them into the ground, secretly or not. I don't think we should expect any idiotic crossovers like they did with Lilo and Stitch.

I just hope Disney doesn't screw Marvel up like it did to the Transformers toy line with that crossover junk.
Optimus Mickey and Bumble-duck should have never existed and deserves to be either:
-Eaten by Unicron.
-Eaten by Grimlock
-Given "Hints" by Galvatron
or Unleash the Predacons on them.
But that's just my Opinion.

I don't think this is so bad. When Disney bus something, they don't tend to take it over like when they bought Pixar. If anything, Pixar's taken over THEM! (and that's a good thing)
Funny picture though

I've never heard of boom studios, but I'm with you on the last statement you made. I quit caring about marvel comics when spider-man and his amazing friends went of the air in the 80s.

I dunno...and I thought the "Mousimus Prime" TF/Disney thing was too much to bear. Now Disney & Marvel?
As long as they don't make "Marvel vs. Disney". Or any type of collab/crossover concerning the two companies.
I think what'll happen is that Disney will let Marvel keep doing it's own thing while getting some income from their stuff (kinda like how Namco & Bandai joined together: each do their own thing, but both reap the rewards).

And marvel hasn't done that to themselves with Sperman and Xmen cartoons, baby toys and whatnot?
And the Power Pack, or whatever they are called?
Jeez, all this really does for Marvel "fans" is give them a new excuse not to buy Marvel comics, not like they bought them anyways obviously.
