For more Lil Formers head to www.LilFormers.comSo, now that the movie is out everyone has been asking when I'm going to do somethign about Transformers 2. Well, this is pretty much how I feel about it. This movie has been so universally hated, so torn apart by every critic and blog as one of the worst movies ever, I really don't think I can add anything. In fact it's almost become an art form of it's own finding as reviewers find new levels of hyperbole to insult the movie.
Though I will say that the movie's supporters generally say things like "It's not supposed to be brilliant, just turn your brain off and have fun!" Sorry but, "turn your brain off" and "have fun" are directly contradictory. I'm not going to give any movie a break and pretend I'm stupid because it has expensive special FX (not good, expensive).
Anyways, it's sort of a sad statement about entertainment when this quality of movie does so well. It's just encouraging studios to abandon plot and acting in favor of girls bending over and junk blowing up.

Nah yer not. I actually enjoyed the first movie. I thought Soundwave looked like a giant squid when he was attached to the satellite. And he didn't say any of his trademark lines... meh whatever

That was one of the better parts. Megatron bitchslapping Starscream about like in the old days heh. At least they got the relationship right.

Yeah, on the first one he barely appeared around and almost didn't do anything O.o but I still think movie Starscream is ugly...

Yeah,... I only like Optimus and Bumblebee... O_o and... maaaaybe Ironhide a little bit... but all others are eww... >.< I kinda expected to see Arcee some more... but they didn't even show her face D:

I thought Jazz in TF1 had a good design too, shame about his character, G1 Jazz was the 'bot everyone wanted to make friends with, I just rolled my eyes at Ghetto Bot in the movie.

Yes, he was in the movie. He wasn't a Tapedeck like the cartoon, but he was in it. He was the robot in space who hi-jacked the communications satellite they even got the original voice actor to play his voice and he says his own name.

And his voice was a bit more "Doctor Claw" than G1 Soundwave, but I think that was fitting (Dr Claw was Welker anyway).

my bet is that he was gettin' old and so the G1 voice was hard for him to do anymore. Not to mention the old Megatron voice since that was him too. probably why he wasn't cast like Peter Cullen was

I don't know, I once visited Welker's website, and I don't know exactly how old the video there about Megatron was, but he could still do the voice just fine. Besides, he did get cast as Megatron in the '07 video games, and as for Soundwave, well the G1 voice was very heavily modified and I think the base voice before all electronic alterations were done was pretty much the Doctor Claw voice, because there were a few sound slip-ups in G1 (like all their animation mistakes) where Soundwave sounded like Doctor Claw.
No, Bay just didn't think the G1 voice of Megatron fit the Megatron he was making (as said in the DVD extras), but must have accepted that Soundwave was almost right for RotF... just a bit more of the Claw gravel included though.

O_oU I knew he wouldn't be a tapedeck but I heard he was gonna be a some kind of big car with big speakers or something O_o Now about his voice I don't know cuz I saw it in spanish and even if I saw it in english I don't know the english voice anyway xD I dun remember him saying his name...

I had it on silent mode cuz normal they don't call me when I watch a movie O_o this time it was an exception D: They probably translated his name since they translated "Devastator" (as "Devastador")... which is funny because other names were kept in english (like Bumblebee, Sidewipe and such).

I like that design...it looks great. They barely showed his bipedal form in the movie. Or if they did, I kind of missed it because everything was moving so fast
