For more Lil Formers head to www.LilFormers.comI may have mentioned it before but, as a kid TMNT was my very favorite thing to draw. I had a ton of the toys, and the Archie TMNT adventure comics were the earliest comics I collected as a series.
If you're unaware - Turtles Forever is an upcoming DVD movie where the original 80's turtles meet the modern version (through some dimensional portal or something...the odl show used portals a lot heh). Though in actually, it won't REALLY be the original turtles, since they didn't bring back ANY of the original cast. They're using all new voice actors. Very unfortunate as this COULD have been pretty cool.

To be fair, they wanted to bring back the originals, but something to do with unions prevented it from happening. I've heard clips of the people they hired for the original Turtles, and they really do sound good. Krang and Shredder, not so much, but I'm still very excited for this.

nah, the unions thing sounds like BS. just means they don't want to pay the minimum wage that SAG members or whoever get.

In the UK they were known as Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles in the 80's. The BBC changed the title sequence. Ninjas are too violent. Also Mike's nunchucks weren't shown either

heh, I always though it funny how wooden sticks on a chain were considered too violent, but giant metal swords and knives were fine

I like this, even though in england it was originally called hero turtles due to in the 80's we thought taht ninjas were to evil for children to love!!

the story line should prove to be interesting. the old toon and new toon character traits are sure to clash
i'm curious about how they're going to make the Splinter is a rat vs Splinter *is* Master Yoshi thing "work"

Well since they won't be bringing back the original cast (which would actually MAKE watching it worthwhile) this really seems kinda dumb...
Don't get me wrong I'm a Turtles fan myself..but this is just bordeline desparate....

I feel inclined to mention the "original" TMNT crew was the "modern" crew. That's how Eastman and Laird wrote them in the comics... When Archie comics got the writes to produce it further, they also did the TV show that was first out (while the later show stayed more true to the original comics).

Hmm. How'd I not hear of this? Some fan I am. Ah well. Twould be interesting to see the results. Though you can't really have the original characters if the original cast are still about, and not reprising their own roles. Then again, I've seen worse attempts when it came to voice actors.

i remember the original comics being violent as hell, like one issue where raphael tried to beat the fuck out of mikey with a pipe wrench for some reason.... then the cartoon came out. and everyone remembers the lame cartoon. bring on the old mirage turtles any day.

Why not bring back the original cast!? I know for sure Rob Paulsen and Leo's voice are still very active in voice acting.
I never liked the new versions. I liked the old ones because you thought they were cool, but the show also acknowledged that the concept of ninja turtles is kinda silly, so it never took itself too seriously. The new one-- or at least the new movie, as that's all I've seen-- was SUPER serious about almost everything. It will be interesting to see how Raphael deals with emo Raph, haha... I'm sure it'll be exactly as you drew it XD
