Description
After the panel on DoubleBack I realised that it might be easier to start off with explaining it on a photo and then to get to the point. But the first part took so long, that I don't have any strenght left for the continuation. xD'' So I'll see you in the next part when I find the time and motivation. ;_;'' And I'll upload the materials from the panel somewhere too. xD (Probably to my LJ.)EDIT: [link] <- more about perspective (materials from the panel).

Ah, I remember learning something like that briefly in class, except that the teacher made us draw cubes only...
question: if drawing traditionally and the vanishing point is outside of the paper, should I use estimation?
And if done on paper, wouldn't it be really messy with all the guidelines?
Or maybe I should do it digitally first then print out the rough draft before working over it, lol

If its done traditionally the best thing to do so that you get an accurate measurement of distance is to continue the drawing off onto another sheet of paper separate from the actual drawing. This way you will know exactly what direction the road or house....etc is going and draw it proportionately to the perspective.

That's too much. xD''' You don't have to do it, really. _0_'' It's much easier to use equal measures. xD

Well I figure that's easier for some people who are just terrible with math....and measuring. I suck at it....REALLY bad.

I'd probably have to blutack the papers together so that the points won't be inconsistent with the papers moving...
Thanks XD

If you're drawing traditionally on paper use this rule: [link]
Just make a grid of equal widths in vertical position. Do it on both sides. This way you can have the grid without seeing any vanishing points and without having to draw on your desk (XD).
Also - if you find it too messy you can just draw a few lines for one point and the second vanishing point just like that on the horizon on paper. Then anytime you need to use one of those points - you use a ruler to get in the right direction and don't draw all the lines. You could use a lightbox too. Anyway - this are just the rules and I drew the whole grid to show you that it can be created. How to aply those rules in your art is your own decision.

Oh, that's useful, thanks~!
A light box would work great though, if only they weren't so expensive ;u;
