Description
Basic Photoshop skills required (e.g Layers, able to install downloaded tones/ effects)Due to a high demand, I decided to finally bring out a tutorial on how I draw my manga 'Shadow Sprinters'
It tells almost everything I know and learnt off my own self taught experiences with manga drawing.
I'm not a professional, I merely started drawing manga pages only this year, though people still wanna know how I did it ;;;;
All I have to say is....
KEEP PRACTISING~!
I only learnt through lots of practise and analysing existing manga for inspirations XD

The last tip about making it look more traditional is brilliant. I've always been put off by the harshness of the black areas, but that's an ace tip. Awesome tutorial!

Awesome tutorial! i really like your drawing! >.<
anyway...i got some question to ask......well....do you sketch on a paper before you edit it in photoshop?? or if you sketch it directly in photoshop, how do you do the lining of every box in the manga??
your drawing is really really great and i hope you will success in future!

I sketch on photoshop.
The lines are done by holding shift key

Thank you so much for these tips~~! I have had such a hard time with deciding how many panels to put in a page (I tend to use too few), so using the max 8-9 panels rule will help me a lot, and I'll use 3-panel or full-page only for important scenes.
And I never knew about the shift-trick in Photoshop! Making panels will be so much easier and better looking now. ;w;

I'm looking at this manual i have here... do you do everything digital? Or do you sketch on paper then scan it? I could do it entirely manually on paper and then scan but anything that can be done digitally would be a real help since making a mistake on a manuscript or inking would kill everything and i'd have to start over from scratch. Thanks in advance.
