Description A rant-like deviation I made after a frustrating search through deviantArt's tutorial section.

Some helpful tips on how to properly find and use tutorials. All the images on there are my own, so I'm not trying to mock anyone. But well, read the tutorial. It's meant to be very sarcastic and a little bit funny. A public display of my former skill. This is MADNESS. ( this is sparta)

Makes a lot of sense
The world needs more of these tutorials
And just curious, but where did the 60's high kitty in the beginning come from (I swore I've drawn one of those before)
Oh oh oh and I love the little Lucifers at the end, those were intriguing and amusing to watch, especially how he grows more beautiful and at the end you get sulky Lucifer XD;;

It's Lucius at the bottom, Lucifer's son at the bottom. And if he heard you he would be offended. (He doesn't get along with his dad).

The kitty is done by me. I was about 15 or 16 years old then.

XD I had the odd habit of putting less clothing on my character drawings, or putting them in skin-tight contraptions when I started drawing So~ it's easy to see my progressions, regressions and influences in my drawings. Most of the regression is from needing to unlearn nasty habits taught by evil tutorials.

XD My gallery is one big tutorial on bad anatomy!

also, the best tutorials give insight to WHY the artist does what they do digitally to gain a certain effect to their composition. Too many tutorials i've seen just assume that you know as much in Photoshop / OC as they do, have amazing pieces, but lack a few specifics that would help out a noobie.

Just do it, would solve this eventually.....

On the flipside...there are like 1000s of "basic coloring in photoshop" tutorials.

Don't forget the simplest metric of them all: for every LOL, ROFL and anime smiley in the description, the tutorial is 10% less likely to have anything useful. For every LOL, ROFL and anime smiley IN THE ACTUAL TUTORIAL ITSELF, subtract 30%.

Well, yes and no.
Bad grammar (from a native english speaker) throughout a tutorial is usually a bad sign. (Unless of course the artist is not a native english speaker/writer)
