I love dragons and this was a great movie. Toothless looks amazing and I agree with you: although I like the choice of colours I think this version looks better, more powerful. The colours seem to tone that intensity down.

Huh... It varies. I think with this one I started it in one evening and finished it on another one. So I'd say... about 4-6h. Depends on the technique, scale and level of detail, too.

Actually, being badass is a part of his original design, As you can see here . I don't like how the majority of artists around here portrays him as basically a harmless kitten, while he's actually a pretty darn badass character.
