It seems like every few years (or is it every decade?) I get this major itch to do an dragon painting set in India.
this one started as a sketch of a tiger with a henna pattern instead of stripes, but it got bigger and more and more ambitious.

I’ve finally finished this piece, and I’m so happy with how much I've learned with this one. I’ve been incorporating the lessons I’ve learned with the Oatley Academy classes, and wow, do they make a difference!! I’m finally learning to not be afraid of having brushstrokes, and to not feel that I have to polish every little bit of the painting.

Also, I used, like, actual color theory and stuff. Go me!

UPDATED to add the lady's mehndi and some other details that I forgot at the last minute.
Revised 7/4/15 because of some tweaks to make the image better.
