The concept was my own. I'd been wanting to draw a dragon in a lake for a while, and it had been years since I had drawn a centaur, so I stuck them together.

I'm thinking about re-doing this one as a painting. The only reason I haven't started on it is that when I think of it as a painting I need to change the angle on the dragon's head. It doesn't bother me in the pen and ink, but when I think of painting it, I realize it's in an awkward position.

i don't think the angle is off...it makes it look as though the dragon is accepting the challenge..maybe the shape of the head? vould always try and see how it turns out. i think it would make a nice painting.
