Nightcrawler fanart quickie for last night's sketch.
I did this little sketch as a wind-down after my homework last night. I wanted to use the lasso techniques from the “Oatley method” on a quick color sketch, and it worked remarkably well. I only used a brush for the highlighting strokes around the head. And I kind of wished I’d used the lasso/gradient combo for that as well. But the hubby wanted dinner, so this is it.

Sketched in pencil in sketchbook, took picture with my iPad (Because I am moving my studio spaces around and didn't feel like hooking up the scanner this week). Sketch cleanup and color done in Photoshop.
Nightcrawler’s copyright belongs to Marvel. I just wanted to play with him for a few minutes. He's just so pretty and fuzzy, and I wanted to do my own spin on the elf.
