So much detail. In comparison to my pencil work this is practically the Mona Lisa. This is probably my favorite work in your whole gallery.

The detail is just mind blowing this woman is beautiful I love her dress.^^ What did you shade this with?

Prismacolor pencils in the "cool grey" tones (10%, 20%, up to 90% plus black, the whole set) and Prismacolor markers of the same tones (I literally bought the set for this project, as I wanted to be sure the old ones I had didn't dry up while I was working. It also had some tones I didn't already have) plus a fine black ink pen (waterproof, pigment based). I also used Prismacolor's colorless blender marker to get the smoothness.
This was done one Bristol, so the paper was nice and smooth, unlike the watercolor paper I usually use, which has some grain.

You know, I'm going to have to be an ass and say that I actually like the detail better than the whole image. It's got a powerful punch in the close view, and the black, black sky is minimized so that it balances out in the value distribution.

Honestly, when I did that crop I absolutely fell in love with it. I really like it like that and really need to do a color version of something similar.
