Description Do none of these boneheads care that they're plummeting to their deaths?!

This page finally sees the introduction of the tongueless Adept, Kronus Darraj, who was a fan favourite back on /tg/ back before the comic even started (hell it was before I was drawing for /tg/, so we're talking about 7 months here) Jeez.

Apparently "bawxes" is some kind of hiver expletive.

And here we have the traditional role-playing party. The snide assassin, the (mostly) calm leader, the bubbly thief (or techpriest eh whatever), the nihilist dwarf (tech again) and of course the guy who dont speak - so often some kind of shadow elf or something.

Was that intentional?

Also whether this is supposed to be a cartoon or not, I think you have some remarkabley realistic poses for your corpses. I can quite clearly see the, uh 'slumping' of the bodies.

Both my parents worked in a hospital. I addition to visiting them at work and seeing a thing or two, they have been about to recount a few good and gruesome stories.

For some reason the first time I saw your drawing of that group I thought the mute guy was supposed to be a psyker. Can't remember why...

He looks the most beaten up, as psykers tend to. Our psyker is actually rather dapper.

is it me, or is it alittle odd that noone seems overly concerned by the fact that the majority of teh vessels crew is dead? i mean i thought the frakkers i dmed for where odd... at least with them we all knew the corpses where their fault.

Mr-Culexus In reply to imric1251 [2009-03-04 03:50:56 +0000 UTC]

Sure, we were concerned that they were dead, but in times of war you cant spend your time mourning and worrying, when there's a shuttle to keep in the air and a battle to be won.

i meant it more as a (unless i messed it) "hey something just frakked up 3/4 of the ships crew... shouldnt we task some of us to look for it and POURGE IT?"

Mr-Culexus In reply to imric1251 [2009-03-04 06:56:37 +0000 UTC]

I was likely autocannon or heavy bolter batteries on the planets surface, that were able to see the ship due to a malfunction in the cloaking device.

Its difficult to purge malfunctions.

... oh. the way you depicted the slaughter made it look like someone is running through the ship leaving a wake of death that would make an everseer cry tears of joy (and then promply self detonate). i guess mainly cus the background doesnt ever reflect the devastation being reaped upon it from the ground batteries.

sorry for my mistake

Don't sweat it for a second, brother.
That's why we have DA comments.
It keeps us sharp, and lets us know when we have failed.

I'm not gonna change it, but I'll keep it in mind for the future.

Love it, and I don't know if its intentional, but a DOW quote slipped in there

Mr-Culexus In reply to Taytonclait [2009-03-02 17:57:50 +0000 UTC]

I imagine it was intentional. We're all DoW players.
Well, I just watch people play honestly, but you get what I mean. We share many pop culture interests.

Taytonclait In reply to Mr-Culexus [2009-03-02 18:06:06 +0000 UTC]

I find that, when dreaming up fluff of my own, its hard to visualize what the characters I have made are saying without slipping back to what I've heard in the DOW series.

So I didn't know if it was intentional, an easily spotted easter egg, an inside joke or an honest slip

Mr-Culexus In reply to Taytonclait [2009-03-02 18:35:55 +0000 UTC]

What you say you do, goes. No backpeddling if it turns out to be retarded. The dice are final. If you aren't serious, you'll probably die.

We have a joke while we play, but we keep it together, basically.

I've only ever played with 2 other people, and we were the only ones we knew of, so learning how others play is always interesting

Everyone designed their own characters. So I didn't have to think hard. Working within a brief is easy. They're all quite simple to draw too, except I struggled with Kerruns hat initially (still a bit iffy, but its workable now)

"Do none of these boneheads care that they're plummeting to their deaths?!"

It's a low-gravity world?

On that note, I wonder what it will be like when we get round to colonising the moon and having lunar wars, with all of the soldiers leaping about the surface as though they're on bouncy castles. The first war where the fighting is fun! Yay!

On a separate tack, I think that you've done some very good and evocative gore in these last few pages - they're truly gruesome cadavers.
