you're work is surely original and interesting, I wonder why your creations do always have such emotionless faces?

You never fail to impress me with the sheer variety in your work. You've got a very distinct style, yet every single piece you do is completely unique. The facial patterns are so inspired but so genuinely interpreted, the porportions are always in check but still not without flair. I am very unable to do 3D artwork like yourself, but it's easy to spot amazing work when you see it. I don't know what else to say, your originality in concept and application is very inspiring to me. What I like most about your stuff is the expressions on the faces of the subjects. I remember one piece in particular, "The Blame Game." I don't think it would be a stretch for me to say that it's quite easily one of my most favorite modern pieces of art. I guess I went on a bit of a tangent here, but I just thought I'd let you know that your work does not go unappreciated. I hope you can keep showing new pieces, I never get tired of your stuff.

The mandrill-like face is great! And the eyes look particualrly goos on this one. Seem to have a lot of depth to them; more realistic.

the mandrill!!! so glad someone out there knows what a mandrill is. i use it a lot in my work...one of my "characters" you might say. I like building mythology...so certian things come up again and again...the mandrill, the rhino, the rabbit...there are several...but the mandrill is by far the most pretty. thanks for making my day...by the way did you know that baboons are considered by many to be the most dangerous land animals?

I didn't know baboons were the MOST dangerous, but I did know that they have a reputation of being extremely aggressive and vicious. Nice little fun fact!

I think one of the things that makes your work appealing to me is that some of the figures remind me of Maurice Sendak's work. Like Max from Where the Wild Things Are with their little animal suits and hoods. That was one of my favorite books when I was younger. Like 3 years ago...

Cool work! Is this really figurative?

I wrestle with that every time i post something on here. The reality is that my work doesn't fit neatly into any pre-existing catagory. I know people like to think of it as "fantasy or whimsy" but i don't think those accurately describe what i do...more to the point they set the audience with an expectation of viewing something that isn't supposed to make them think...not all my pieces are geared toward making an audience think, but many of them are and i don't want to diffuse that possiblity before someone even looks at the work. Based on the fact that every piece i create starts with the human figure (even though they are often modified...sometimes greatly) i've decided to post them here. If that means that others won't find them as easily, so be it...for me it feels better than having my stuff crammed in with a gallery full of wire ferries and sculpey dragons.

Oh, I am so glad your gallery isn't full of such things.
I love the colors on this one. Very clever little piece.
