all the 13-year-olds are getting haircuts like that. i remember that age, trying to fit in, while trying to preserve your uniqueness that's in hiding.

yeah had no power for 13 days then got it back - something we take for granted was really welcomed when it finally came on again !!! have a nice weekend !

So far my weekend is kind of sickly... I think I'm getting a cold or something.
Yeah, no power! We had that up here one winter for about 5 days. Nothing works, no water (pump and well), no heat (electric starter on furnace) and no lights! But we have candles, kerosene lamps and a great working fireplace. If you close off all the other rooms, it's cozy. But OMG, I was getting ready to find a motel with power.

we talked about going to a hotel - but then we got to thinking leaving the house in the dark (nah) what about the dog, what if power comes on again and we gone ...blah blah blah but glad it came on when it did cos patience was wearing thin and was ready to strangle someone - think everyone reached that point

They really don't build houses for staying warm in extreme circumstances now . . . at least not mostly. We have a house up here that has a wood burning furnace for additional heat or for when the power goes. It's an amazing thing! And in Northern Michigan, you never run out of wood to burn!

There are times you can't see his eyes and it is a shame. They really are gorgeous and even kind. He pretends to be a very cool teen but is so wonderfully considerate and genuine.

I always try to tell them, it will be over in four years and they can start a whole new life without the same pressures. Maybe new ones but nothing like being a teen!
