--overall tips:--1. please don't just smash together the colors of the parents like in the top left!
2. blending + mixing colors helps create an original color scheme!
3. markings are okay if they're used correctly!
4. carbon copies and simple fusions of the two parents are discouraged!
5. deviation from the parents' talents and interests is a good way to go!

Hmm, I have a few disagreements. The colors in the mane of the bad OC is not too many, it's actually not a bad blend! Although, coupled with the atrocity of her hair style, coat, and eyes of course it's going to look terrible.
Also, I don't think ponies quite inherit color such as orange eyes from Flash's coat considering genetics don't work like that, but hair can come from parent coats and manes like that since it's all just hair.

this kinda makes sense but this is your opinion people have there own opinions they make the ponies however they want the ponies to be like it sometimes has to be a mixture of both of the parents so the the ponies kids could look like them. sorry if this was rude but people do have there own opinions on here ponies

this tutorial has so many things wrong with it.Β
Sweetie belle most likely got pink hair from an unseen family member.Β
Blending fur colors isn't how it works all the time. If that's how it is than twilight wouldn't have purple fur, and pinkie would never have the overly pink colors if she is related to her parents.Β
You never bring up; " if any family members of the character you are making a NG of, DO NOT be afraid to use some of their colors "Β
or " If no family member for the NG's parent's are shown in the show, use any colors you want for the eyes/fur and mane as long as you also use colors from the parents"
Marking should NOT be used unless the parents have markings, cause it just seems out of place if you do use markings.
And I know this was made BEFORE flurry, but having the child of an alicorn NOT being an alicorn doesn't make it any better.Β
But before you go making an alicorn NG, make sure 1, that all the children are alicorns or your oc comes of mary sue, and most of all
the parent must be a alicorn or everyone will hate it.

alicorns in mlp usually arent a thing unless theyre super important, so make sure you give them an important job if you do make them an alicorn!
