--overall tips:--1. please don't just smash together the colors of the parents like in the top left!
2. blending + mixing colors helps create an original color scheme!
3. markings are okay if they're used correctly!
4. carbon copies and simple fusions of the two parents are discouraged!
5. deviation from the parents' talents and interests is a good way to go!

after seeing flashlight foals that all look the exact same, i wanted to try to help people make more original and logical shipping babies. so tada!!
i mean, come on, my dudes. the apple family members aren't identical and, heck, princess luna and celestia look totally different even though theyre sisters omg

yes this is true. How can Next Gen just be the colors of her mother and her father and also copies of the Name and colorsΒ Therefore the Son must be in color different from the color
His father and mother, and the parents are not in the same colors
But it can sometimes be a color close to the color the Son parents

//im not the original poster but I think that your character looks great! You actually can't really tell who the parents are either, which is good! It makes them very original compared to most next gen foals

The only thing wrong with Sparkle Sentry is those markings since neither parents have any markings even similar to that.Β
IMO as long, using Flashlight for example, the foal isn't bright green with red eyes and yellow hair and goes "This is Aurora the daughter of Twilight :> " it's a "good shipping foal"Β
At the end of the day a lot of people are gonna make whatever kinds of ponies they want and, even if the designs wanna stab out eyes out, we just gotta move on lol
