Description
Part 2: [link]Alright! Here's the first part of my Toothless plush tutorial! I'm already working on part 4 of the tutorial, so it's gonna be a big one. But it covers every step you need to make a Toothless plush! You're welcome to make some modifications to it if you want, as long as you give me credit for the base pattern.
This part only covers materials and how to piece the pattern pieces together. The links to the pattern pieces will be provided with each part of the tutorial as they are needed.

so let me get this strait. The image is 8 & 1/2 by 11 in, correct? it should be printed full page and that should be the right size? it's all proportionate?

nooby-banana In reply to Falling-Pixie [2011-01-03 05:49:33 +0000 UTC]
Yep, each image is 81/2 x 11. Just print each image so it fills up a page and it should all be proportionate.

i have started the process in attempting to create this for myself.. but just wondering, for the upper and lower head patterns, are they supposed to line up from the start or does that just happen when you start sewing the pieces together?

nooby-banana In reply to russet-wolf-lover [2010-12-23 06:05:43 +0000 UTC]
You line them up yourself when pinning the pieces together.

I'm confused. Where are the ACTUAL size patterns? Because they look far too small on this page.
Am I missing something?

nooby-banana In reply to Bazerk83 [2010-12-07 21:03:59 +0000 UTC]
The links to the actual patterns are provided in every section of the tutorial as they are needed, starting in part 2.

Thank you

Bazerk83 In reply to nooby-banana [2010-12-08 12:35:48 +0000 UTC]
So If i print each page of the tutorial the patterns will be the actual size of the plushie or do i need to draw them myself?
Because, and I mean no offence (because the final plushie looks incredible) but the drawings look kind of sloppy.

nooby-banana In reply to Bazerk83 [2010-12-08 14:23:23 +0000 UTC]
If you copy each page into Word and then resize it to make it fit the whole page, it will be actual size (because Photobucket made each page smaller).

This is a fantastic tutorial that I am definitely going to give a try! But how big is "1 bag of stuffing" and "1 bag of poly pellets" in terms of kilos? :3
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
nooby-banana In reply to Famarii [2010-11-15 19:32:23 +0000 UTC]
Well the poly pellets only come in one size bags as far as I know, and as for stuffing, ehh.... I just got the standard bag size (20 oz, or about .5 kilos).

Sweet tutorial!
If I were to print directly from the link you sent, would it screw up my proportions or make my toothless a tad smaller? I'm a tad short on fabric!
Thanks for putting this up!

If you print directly from the link it shouldn't screw up the proportions, just make him smaller

This is awesome...but unfortunately I've never sewn anything in my life. I'd love to make this plushie though, so I guess I should try to learn!
Are there certain stitches that I should know how to do, or maybe any beginner tips?
