OH GOD LAST PART.
I apologize for the deteriorating quality of this tutorial. I meant to make each part look super pretty and nice, but... that obviously didn't happen.
And if you make a plush using this tutorial, send me a link to it! I'll post it up here.

I actually don't remember. I made it over two years ago now and at the time I know I found the instructions a bit confusing so I remember not following them, but honestly couldn't tell you what I did instead

Oh yes, he certainly loved it I wish I'd paid attention to what fabric I bought, it was right in the middle of a huge christmas sale so I felt, grabbed, paid and ran out of there. Whatever it is, it's beautiful and SOFT. Oh so soft! haha

OMG yay im finally on the wings its nearly finishesd do you stuff the whole wing? or just the wing thing/arm?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
nooby-banana In reply to Ulla-Andy [2010-12-20 19:42:12 +0000 UTC]
Nope, just stuff the wing arm. Ignore the wing and wing thing since on Toothless they're just thin flaps of skin.

I am gathering supplies for the clay eyes. I have asked at several stores about the 12 mm plastic safety eyes. They do not seem to know what I am talking about, and neither do I. Could you tell me what these are and what they look like. Thanks.

They look like this: [link]
If you go to a Joann Fabrics they should have them there, since that's where I got mine. Look in the doll section.

If they aren't in the doll making section at Jo-Anns, try looking in with the pompoms, sequins and glue on eyes. That's how they are in my store.

Thank you for the reply above. Another question, do the back legs have the spikes on them; I have the front spikes on, but couldn't tell if the back ones have them or not. Love doing this; can't wait for my grandson to see it!! Love being in Santa's service; thanks to your pattern.

Are you using a sewing machine for this or stitching it by hand? because it's mentioned in some parts of the tutorial but it's not specified in most of it. Does it matter which one you use?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
nooby-banana In reply to junebug171 [2010-10-19 00:50:18 +0000 UTC]
I used a machine for everything except sewing the head to the neck and the wing to the body.

I'm so sorry to bother you, but with all of your tutorials, I haven't been able to click on a link to get to the pattern pieces! ;A;
I've only been able to access the wing and spikes, but I'm sure you have more, judging by all the links and so on!
I'd appreciate any help! Thank you!

I was so excited when I saw this pattern. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! My son was so upset that we could not get Toothless from the store. Those things are now going for almost $200!! Now I can surprise him with this. He will be so happy.
For those that want to put wire in the wings... You can get ambiture wire at Michleas Crafts or HobbyLobby. My mother has used it in stuffed animals before.

HOlY CRAP!! Being in the Stuffed animal making club would actually worth if I can pull this off. I can't wait to give it a try though I have no idea where the time to do it is going to come from. ..... Oh well. Who needs sleep when you can have a Toothless?
-_- and yes I was actually in a a club where we made stuffed animals. They pretty much sucked though.

no i mean like,it goes through the fabric but then its just stuck inside toothless, like in the stuffing

nooby-banana In reply to frostbite1064 [2010-07-30 18:01:12 +0000 UTC]
Ohhhh, I see. Do you have the wings pinned to the body? I found that pinning them down kinda folds the fabric so the needle is easier to get back out. And if all else fails, you could go buy a few curved needles. They're specially made for things like this.

nooby-banana In reply to frostbite1064 [2010-07-30 03:41:42 +0000 UTC]
How does it get stuck? You should just be able to slide the needle through the fabric.
