EDIT: was kind enough to give some input on resistors and how to make your LEDs last longer!"I am currently working on a similar project as a commission. I really like the crumpled up plastic diffusion idea although I was going to try to resin cast my gem to make it more faceted.
One thing to note, when you are working with LEDs you want to add a resistor. LEDs cant handle much current so you want to make sure you have a resistor in line to make sure they dont overdraw power. Its really easy to blow out even a brand new LED if you dont have some protection in circuit.
I generally go V+ to Switch to LED anode, then LED cathode to resistor to V-. You will get a lot more life out of your LED, and without the resistor you might only get a few seconds out of it.
Hope this helps!"
Finally, here’s part 2! Sorry for the wait.
I have to apologize up front for the explanation in this part. The whole thing is just sort of me going “Yeah… just kinda do this and hope it works out for ya”. I really had no idea what I was doing when I did the electronics and I have to way to answer any questions about it. D: Sorry! I hope it’s kinda easy to follow though, because everyone deserves glowing Loki scepters. They’re just too cool.

Do you having any suggests for what i can use to wrap around the wooden rod i got for the base?
heres the staff:

so any other materials suggestions ? i was thinking baking clay but , that would be to heavy and putting wood in the oven is a no no. So, any light weight suggestions to make the pieces? thanks

How Long was your PVC pipe before you bent it?
I (obviously ) have never done this before and a client would like me to make one.
if I could get full measurements.
Width, length, thickness, how wide it is at the blade

This is really great! I want to go as Lady!Loki for next Halloween and what accessory is more awesome and more necessary than the Cosmic Spear (save, perhaps, the Goat Helmet XD)? But I had no idea how to make it, so this will be really helpful (The Hiddleston motivational was a nice touch, too XD) Thanks for posting, I'll defs be watching for the rest

Thank you very much for your time in making this tutorial! I'm doing this scepter as well and I was so confused about how to make the circuit for the light! (never did something like this :'D) Now it all appears simplier, thanks~

Awesome! One question, though. Is the egg that you used a blue colored Easter egg or a clear one?
