This animation is a depiction of the evolution of the uniforms of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.

2000-2003: 22 years after the demise of the Cleveland Barons, the NHL returns to Ohio with the Blue Jackets.
2003-2007: The shoulder patch featuring the team's mascot, Stinger, is retired, and a new alternate jersey is used. The main logo on the alternate is a patch on the left shoulder of the primary two, with the primary logo the patch on the left shoulder of the alternate... And they all have a Civil War cap patch on the right shoulder.
2007-2010: The alternate becomes the basis for the new RBK Edge jerseys. The Civil War cap is now on both shoulders.
2010-Present: A new "heritage" alternate joins the rotation, using powder blue, gray, and vintage white instead of red.
