Description This animation is a depiction of the evolution of the uniform of the NHL's Calgary Flames.

1972-1973: The NHL comes to Georgia with the Atlanta Flames.
1973-1980: The Flames make some minor changes to the tail stripes.
1980-1981: The Flames pack their bags and move to Calgary, Alberta. They wear essentially the same thing, just with a new logo.
1981-1994: The Flames make a minor collar change.
1994-1998: The first significant redesign in the team's history adds black as an accent color.
1998-2000: An alternate jersey, featuring an all-new horse logo, is introduced.
2000-2003: The alternate becomes the primary and is the inspiration for the new white jersey.
2003-2006: The black jersey becomes the alternate again, with a red version becoming the primary.
2006-2007: The alternate jersey is retired.
2007-2009: The switch to the RBK Edge system brings major changes in Calgary; the new uniforms feature the flags of Alberta and Canada on the shoulders.
2009-2010: In honor of their 30th year in Calgary (but 29th season, due to the 2004-05 lockout), the Flames wear a throwback alternate.
2010-Present: For the first-ever Heritage Classic, the Flames wear a design based off of the long-gone Calgary Tigers.
