sorry for the delay, I did intend to originally do this in the car on vacation, but I ended up doing those typography logos instead.

I feel this ended up just like an intro to plot, I ran out of room to address a lot of techniques, but we'll go over those next time

this one sets up the importance of setting up the plot core, as well as what to take from the game to start using to mold your plot around.

whenever I comic new pages too, I reference a walkthrough of pokemon black so I don't miss any events I might want to do something with

enjoy, hope this helps

- Don't use only game plots, check! I have a bunch of different plot planned

- Don't do a Grocery List, CHECK! (THANK YOU! I hate it when a Nuzlocke just zooms through, nearly no plot, no development, is getting a badge every 5 pages... URK)

- No text dumps, check, I intended to make things a bit mysterious from the very start- Not just dump it out all in the start! Where's the excitement in that?

- Time period... Hmmmm... I never really thought about this, mine sorta takes place 10-15 years after the original FR and LG... I assume there will be some technology advancements and stuff- but not much... Check I guess?

you don't even have to use any of the game plot points if you want, just keep the same flow of events of course.

for sure, I understand why people do it, but they don't realize it's not satisfying to read, it's just there desire for progress taking over

oh indeed, I love the gradual hinting out and fleshing of a universe.

if differences are that minor I'd just say not make much a deal out of the time line notion. that'll basically be modern, nothing much notable you can do differently. time period is for more major differences, like viking era or ancient times

I was originally going to have my Nuzlocke be before where it is now - like some 30-40 years ago. Ah well, it's still 14 years or so in the past When I think about it, a Viking or Renaissance Nuzlocke sounds pretty awesome.

This guide was very helpful. I liked how you used skeletons and hearts to help the readers understand putting together basic plot elements and adding the core to the plot. Well done!

I... I didn't think the part with the Lunch-A-Roos was boring...

I did really enjoy reading this though, very informative, funny, and well made.

well, I worded it so ironically there's charm to it, but the lunch a roo's bit would still be more interesting shown over time instead of a text dump.

glad you did and you found good info in it

*pats himself on the back* Already started the whole set in different time period. However right now I'm trying to get that feel that came with that time period, I think I'm almost there... but I've rushed the opening which makes me mad.

the bulk of nuzlockers I know start to cringe about their intros after a while, it happens, we don't think of these things until it's too late. totally understandable. I'll be going over plot improving tools in the next one of these, which I may even have done today too

this is why I've been planning elements for my 2nd nuzlocke a year in advance (will probably be at least that long before it starts, as it won't be until odd ones is done).

So i've heard your X and Y locke that will happen AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT!!!

Did I ever say your awesome finishing this really awesome locke in just a few months is a huge task. But I know you can pull it off.

oh, I changed my mind on doing on that, I'm going to take my time with odd ones first, pluse having some time to get exposed to xy will help plot the 2nd one a bit better

besides, no way will it be done by october with all the extra stuff I added in the plot and all those extra characters. I estimate roughly 200 pages easy with all I've got planned plot wise now. yeah, that's not happening by october, it'll probably be about a year or so
