Description
example of how it looks on a site: sta.sh/01pru40biiqs | sta.sh/0u946d86wsh
(I lowered the opacity of the final tile to 40%)
something fun to do/try ;D
drawn in SAI/moved things in photoshop elements
in photoshop you can move things with the offset filter
Filter>Other>OffsetPLEASE REBLOG FROM MY tumblr !!
*please reblog from the source post! ^0^/
I remade this tutorial to reflect the use of Offset rather than manual movement of elements XD
it's better! *7*))) <3

is there a way to do this within sai itself? transferring to pjotoshp elements loses all the layers and stuff

onisuu In reply to brigadon [2014-09-11 02:33:35 +0000 UTC]
I save the file as a .psd in SAI and then when I arrange the layers with offset, I do the same settings for each layer~~ it's quite tedious ; u ; ))
otherwise, I would fully colour each picture and then assemble them together as a pattern on the canvas, shifting it with offset to position the coloured pieces evenly on the tile.

I believe with sai you can save the file as a .psd file instead of .sai, and it shouldn't lose it's layers.

Do you know what size I'd have to make it to use as a background for the boxes on my page?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
onisuu In reply to CaptainError [2014-06-07 07:15:08 +0000 UTC]
What I did was screenshot the boxes so I know the width of the picture, and then make the background image be the picture. Then, to make the box's height match the picture, I had to put a bunch of < br> withoutthe space, to make line breaks (bythe way, one < br> is equivalent to pressing 'enter' on the keyboard once, but incode form )
