Carnaval makeup one year. Not really "official" Carnaval makeup, as I didn't actually attend, but merely showed up for taking (and being in) photos. I had just had my daughter, so couldn't do my costume as I wanted, so my friends convinced me to just go in fancy makeup and a simple costume and be in the photos. It was a lot of fun and made me not resent so much not being able to go.Related content

It is a Ben Nye blush, if I remember correctly. 
Sadly, I also tend to use a hot pink blush I have left over from the 80s in a makeup kit my dad gave me for Christmas. The colors are all 80s punk rock colors and one of the blushers is this vivid hot pink. This makeup I did was right on four years ago, so I really don't remember specifically which makeup I used....

Thanks, no, it's a wig! I braided the wig and styled the bangs, but it wasn't my real hair. That would be really cool.

i hecka had used manic panic in my hair before it was that same shade.. i was just bein noisy. people used to stop me on the streets it was the best thing of ever. if u ever have a chance to.. do it one summer. im a blonde and it was weird to see how differently i got treated with pink hair haha

LOL! I feel that way when I shave my head. People start to treat you differently. Although now that I'm older, they often think I have had cancer, not that I'm a punk, like they did 10 years ago....

OK, there is NO MAKEUP other than Ben Nye makeup. It's highly pigmented and is absolutely THE BEST you can buy.

I doubt it, really. You need a costume shop, somewhere that sells stage makeup and the like. Just pick up the yellow pages and start dialing! [link] There's also a website where you can get a catalog, but you can't order directly from them.

How does it feel when it's on? I have uber-sensitive, bitchy skin. Does it dry your skin out or anything? How long does your typical container last?

It just feels like eyeshadow, powdery and smooth. I've never noticed that it affects my skin in a bad way, and I use it all over my face. I even use the sealant sometimes and it doesn't bug me. I've been using the same containers several times a year for almost 5 years, and they're not even CLOSE to finished - barely even dented. If I were doing daily applications, I'd say a container would last a year. When dropped, the do sometimes shatter into powder (as opposed to pressed powder) but I just keep using them. Sometimes it actually makes it easier to work with, especially for the silver and gold....

It's just like eyeshadow. You can use a foam applicator or your finger or a q-tip or a brush - however you're comfortable applying eyeshadow! It'll last until you take it off - I guess the longest I've worn it is for an entire work day and then brief touchups for a party later that night, so more than 12 hours....
