Description
Actually, this piece was inspired by the original artist of DC comics reinvisioning of the character Starman in that he has this beautifully telling way of captuiring emotion via tight closeups of a body part and the face of the offender. I had hoped to pay homage. In this case, I imagine that Le Fantome and his young lady love have just been in the midst of a rather heated argument. The encounter was most certainly not intended to end so badly considering the fact that Erik has brought a gift ,the red rose, which has pricked his hand and caused trickles of blood signifying love and pain...I know, I know...very obvious symbolism, but please bear with me.
I am not partucularly satisfied with it at all. The scan highlighted too much of the yellows, which for some reason look blended in the actual drawing. Also, Erik's knuckles are waaay out of proportion.

the drawing of the hadn is is absolutly impresive, incredible, with the bones remarkable the long finger like pianist the ring and the rose fallinf while blood is running, is totally impresiveΒ

Beautiful detail! I love how the line quality matches Erik's character: sophisticated, but with a gritty edge to them.

This is a BEAUTIFUL piece of Phantom artwork! I think that Erik's knuckles being out of proportion adds to the corpse-esque look that he has!

HOLY CRUD - - THIS IS GORGEOUS!!
I don't see why you don't absolutely *LOVE* this piece - in my humble opinion, there is absolutely *NOTHING* wrong with it!!
(But of course, isn't that how we artists are - not satisfied, unless it reaches *OUR* level of perfection?...I've worked on pieces before, that I'll spend hours on, only to tear them up because some minor detail was wrong/didn't look right! *L*)

Epic... The blood is kind of creepy, but it makes sense... I love the lighting of Christine.

I'm totally obsessed with hands! I like the knuckles, even if you say they're out of proportion. It looks like it really does belong in a comic book as well, so I think you did a great job! Favorite!

I love this piece. I can totally feel Erik's anger. It kinda looks like he just walked in on her doing something she promised she wouldn't, or something.

Christine is beautiful, period hairstyle or not. The oversized knuckles actually make the hand look a bit more skeletal (to me, anyway).
Very emotive piece.
